Panic attack
averted.....thankfully :)
I had decided that this weekend would be spend cutting out fabric and getting my Christmas sewing ready for the long Thanksgiving weekend. I do pillow cases for family and friends. I've been doing them for about 6 or 7 years now. Two years ago I just didn't get to them, there was so much going on in my personal life that I just didn't have the energy. I figured people would probably be happy that they didn't get yet another pillowcase from me. I can't tell you how many people were disappointed that they didn't a pillowcase!! I was overwhelmed with the number of people who expressed how much they loved them. Mostly family, so I'm sure they didn't want to hurt my feelings LOL
So last year I got back on the horse and made more, and will do the same this year. Only this year I'm going to supplement them with micro-wave pot holders and hopefully some place mats.
So what was my panic attack? Well I decided that because I can't stand for long periods of time, that in-between cutting session I would try doing a little beading on my August Peridot fairy. She has been lingering for such a long time with no loving at all.
So when I went into our guest/craft room and the beads were missing!! I have all the thread and beads in little baggies that are on an O ring that I keep on the knob of the floor stand....well it wasn't there!! OMG to be so close and to lose my beads...my heart skipped a beat or 5. Until I realized I had put them on the book shelve because the cat kept knocking them down.
So panic attack averted!! She is really so close to being done, I really need to get work on her and just get it done.
Happy stitching
