And thou shall be called Procrastinator…..

I just can't seem to get into the spirit this year and as such, I'm not doing any of the things I've done in the past for Christmas :(  I've hardly stitched at all in the past week, and given I've been off work one would think I would have gotten something done!!  I've also begged off of doing my pillow cases this year, most years I do around 50 or so pillow cases for family and friend, this year zilch.   My rag quilts are sitting waiting for someone to cut the batting and assembling……so just call me the procrastinator….wish I was the stitchernator…..

I don't even have the stockings sewn up yet and that really is an all time lateness on my part.

please send your 'get your butt in gear' vibes.

Sandy

  2. There's a time to rest and a time to work - maybe this is your time to rest? When family has health issues, it can suck out a lot of mojo....take good care for now and give everyone 4th of July pillowcases instead of Christmas ones.

    1. I like your idea of July pillow cases. For the past 2 years my granddaughter has been my shop-hop buddy in getting material. I didn't really do the shop-hops this year because she wasn't here to go with me. I love how she looks at all of the fabric to find the perfect one for that someone special.

    1. thanks Cinzia, this has been a hard year and I really love the hugs from my stitching friends. I'm blessed to work for a great company that has been understanding with time off, and my kids have really bonded together to be there for each other. So I try to count the good thinks in life and not the bad.

  4. Once and awhile its good to have a break. It might not seem like it right now, but your "get your butt in gear" vibes will return. :-) I look forward to seeing what you've created when it does. For now, enjoy all the other things in life! Sending much happiness your way.

    1. thanks Caitlin, I've got to get my x-stitch done so I can get it framed and to my sister for Christmas. She starts chemo soon again and I want her to have it look at each day as she goes through this new battle. 2015 I will focus on my angels, I have 3 of them and not any of them have enough to be more than a good start.

    1. thanks, that's the push I needed this morning - I've been stitching the morning away and will get back at after lunch. I just don't make a very good stay at home person - which is what I am right now. I procrastinate far too much when I have too much time on my hands.
