My Blog List

I'm one of the bloggers that I complain most about :(

One of my very favorite things to do is surf the net and read all my favorite blogs.  If someone hasn't updated in along time I complain to myself and debate whether or not I should delete them.  But I'm a glutton for punishment and keep going back and sometimes I'm rewarded for my efforts and other times I do end up deleting the off my list.

One day, not too long ago, I realized I was neglecting my own blog and I was one of those people.......I wasn't updating with ANYTHING...stitch worthy or otherwise.  So I'm going to try to be better.  Won't always be stitch related, but will try to post something.

Right now I'm stitching on an ornament for exchange and can't post a picture of it, will post early next week once it's off to the person :)  It was a design I liked but never got around to stitching because most of what I do, I stitch for others who appreciate my time and effort.   While I love Halloween, most of my family don't share my love of witches and all things spooky.  So this short break from my normal stitching has been fun!!  OK, if you've followed me at all you know that I took a short break with my Halloween Tree, my SB Little Witch (both of them) and of course my Thine is the Trick and Treat.  But I did get my SpiritDancer done, I'm also almost done with my PP Princess Angel and have started several other designs for several other people.

This past week was my birthday, so I told my husband that I wanted to spend a day at Disneyland where I've be wished Happy Birthday by many people, so we went on Saturday and I had fun.  My husband is not an amusement park type person, and he really isn't into Disneyland....but after 30 some years with me he has learned that I don't ask for things too often and while I don't hold a grudge if he doesn't do what I want, I can't pout for a very long time!!   So we went, and hopefully will go back next weekend to hit the rest of the things I would like liked to do, but we didn't get too.   We are too old for 12 hrs at Disneyland!!  We did go between the two parks and I'm sure we walked 10 miles, but it was at our own pace with breaks built in to relax and enjoy the day.

The only evil lady we saw was Cruella from 101 Dalmatians, was so disappointed!!  Hopefully next weekend we'll see a few more, going to the Haunted Mansion.

My of my favorite rides is Screaming Over California, hubby won't ride anything that he has to be strapped into and goes upside down.  Me, I've re-found my passion for speed and sudden drops and of course the occasional loop :)  I even wore my glasses this time so I could see it all!!  Would have ridden twice, but knew hubby was waiting for me.

We did manage to get on one of the new rides.  We got a fast pass at 10:00 AM to come back at 3:55 PM...but it was worth it, we were in line for about 15 minutes and the ride as fun.  Even hubby enjoyed it and said he would ride it again.

Well back to surfing the net, did my stitching this afternoon while the nature light was good.  And of course watching TV.
