The moon is wanning

but it's still 99.27% full so close enough for me to feel like I'm posting on the full moon.

This month's question is:

What do you listen to while stitching? (via Jo)

I'm a TV watcher - well more like listener while I stitch or sew.   I've tried to listen to books on tape or pod casts, but I find that I get lost in the plot and end up backing it up and listening to it over and over.  So no stitching got done.  For me the TV has always been something to make noise more than something to watch.  Music is OK, but really don't have any speakers to hook up my i-pod on, and if I'm going to listen through the TV, might as watch a show instead.

So what have I been working on since the last full moon?  Well there are my two lunch time projects - both are needlepoint purse flaps for my girls.  I'm not happy with the thread i picked for the leopard print - I love the bling, but not happy with the thread itself - I think I either need to find something else or double it...what do you think?  Either way I'll need to cut out what I've done, so haven't work on it lately.

My other purse flap has lots of colors.  I'm using silk n' Ivory thread and enjoying it.   Might add a few beads or metallic thread for the swirls.

I've also been working on my multiplication table.  I took a new picture but for some reason it's not showing up in my photo album :(  I have another little quilt motif done and the 10's are done to 50 and I have the 1's, 2's 3's 4's and 5's done across the top.  I was going to go through the 12's on it, but have decided now to stop at the 10's like the chart is designed.  Although the writing at the top will now be all at the bottom.

I'm hoping to keep up with my new found stitching momentum.  Tomorrow is Stitching with my Southern Cal ladies at Fashion Island Mall.  Got to figure out what to take - a new start?  Something I've been working on? Decisions, decisions....glad I have the options.   Thinking about starting one of my counted canvases - I have two to choose from, both will be fun to stitch.

Hope you've all have a productive time while the moon was busy spinning around the earth. Hope to have more updates next time the man in the moon is looking down at me.

Sandy
